Instructional Support: Reading & Writing

Paraeducators and tutors will complete modules within the Master Teacher Paraeducator Online Training including Supporting Reading Instruction in Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics, Part I and II; Supporting Adolescents Who Have Learning Disabilities in Writing; and Providing Strategies for Struggling Readers in All Areas. Participants will develop understandings of literacy and the skills required for students to be able to read and write successfully, learn strategies to support vocabulary and reading fluency, and identify instructional strategies that support learners before, during, and after reading.

Supporting Instruction

Paraeducators and tutors will complete modules within the Master Teacher Paraeducator Online Training, including: Supporting Instruction: Reading; Writing; Mathematics. Participants will understand the role that paraeducators play in building positive attitudes towards content areas, ways to support accommodations and modifications to activities, and provide feedback to learners to support their learning.
Title I: Reading Skills

Paraeducators and tutors will complete modules within the Master Teacher Paraeducator Online Training, including: Reading Comprehension: Narrative Texts; Informative Texts; Decoding Language; and Utilizing Layout. Participants will read, review, and evaluate text and learn strategies to support students with analysis of text and their structures.
Title I: Writing Skills

Paraeducators and tutors will complete modules within the Master Teacher Paraeducator Online Training, including: Writing Fundamentals: Parts of Speech; Effective Sentences; and Mechanics of Writing. Participants will review essential terminology and practice identifying errors in student writing including parts of speech, sentence structure, and language conventions in order to enhance students’ writing.
Title I: Mathematical Skills

Paraeducators and tutors will complete modules within the Master Teacher Paraeducator Online Training, including: Mathematics: Understanding the Basic Skills; Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages; Basic Algebra; Basic Geometry; and Basic Data Analysis. Participants will review terminology, mathematical operations, graphs and figures, formulas, and more.

Paraeducators Online Training is available as a school-wide program with this NO COST opportunity. Paraeducators and tutors will have access to 150+ self-paced modules covering general education and special education environments. Learning modules typically range from 45-60 minutes in length, can be accessed using any platform day or night, and can be personalized to fit each individual within your system. Administrators can complete the enrollment form found on our website to enroll their school district today ($35/person value).
